Learning Objectives

• In this short self-paced learning module, the participant will:
  • Review or become familiar with the basic concepts of curriculum mapping at the institutional level;
  • Listen to an expert critique a variety of curriculum maps --and suggest actions based on what they tell us;
  • And have the opportunity to:
    • scrutinize checklists which identify how to recognize:
      • a high-quality curriculum map, and
      • a well-written student learning outcome.
    • and review resources for curriculum planning, which can be either:
      •  a necessary precursor step to effective mapping,
      • or a follow up action, resulting from gathering & reviewing student learning data after having completed a mapping exercise.
