Description

Experts agree that if there is misalignment between the learning objectives, its supporting activities, and the method of assessing learning outcomes, then the educational potential of the enterprise becomes severely compromised (c.f. Fantini, 2009, in Handbook of Intercultural Competence).   In this white paper we provide a case study of finding, after multiple passes at it, an assessment method that helped the instructors make sense of journaling data from learners on a short study abroad sojourn to China.
