Beginning with an overview of the Intercultural Development Continuum (IDC), stage-based pedagogy, and more recent research, we will use the rest of our session together to play with interactive materials--news articles, video clips, card games, an app--which will allow us to apply what we've learned and provide many ways to review the IDC with others. No background with the IDC? We'd love to have you join us! Experienced IDI debriefer? You'll leave with your toolkit full and looking forwarder to your next group debrief!

Learning Objectives:

• Define the stages of the Intercultural Development Continuum and discussing how they have experienced the IDC stages.
• Discuss how stage-based pedagogy can be used in their own intercultural learning practice to choose ICL activities for use in classrooms and programs.
• Demonstrate the use of interactive learning materials to review the stages of the IDC and how to identify them in others.
