Annette Benson provides an overview of the Intercultural Development Continuum (IDC) and stage-based pedagogy. After reviewing recent research, panelists will share interactive materials including news articles, video clips, card games and an app in order to better review IDC tenants. This session welcomes novice and experienced IDC debriefers alike. This session was selected as the bi-Region VI and VIII conference highlight.

Learning Objectives:

• Define the stages of the Intercultural Development Continuum and discuss how they have experienced the IDC stages.
• Discuss how stage-based pedagogy can be used in learning practice to choose intercultural learning hub activities for use in classrooms and programs.
• Demonstrate the use of interactive learning materials to review the stages of the IDC and how to identify them in others.
