As an assertive, educated member of a majority culture; one who is used to being seen as an expert, I can sometimes have a tendency to dominate group discussions. As a group instructor, this can be a good way to remind yourself that learning can arise even when the "sage" is taken out of the conversation. This can also be a good exercise to encourage other group members with privilege to back off a little bit and let all voices be heard.
