About the Instructors

Katherine Yngve

In a long and rewarding higher education career, I've been an academic advisor, a study abroad advisor, a university relations manager for a study abroad provider, a doctoral student of intercultural and experiential education, and a senior international officer at an overseas American-style university. Also, since about 2014, I've served Purdue as an institutional researcher who specializes in the assessment of intercultural learning. Since 2019, I’ve become increasingly involved in helping institutions identify assessment tools that advance inclusion and equity, and in advancing the practice of assessment for social justice.

Kelsey Patton

I am an Intercultural Learning Specialist for CILMAR (The Center for Intercultural Learning, Mentorship, Assessment, and Research) at Purdue University where my roles include developing and contributing content to, as well as editing the HubICL, and managing outreach for and overseeing the peer dialogue program (developed by Crossing Borders Education) on Purdue's campus. I also serve as the Communication Specialist at the Butler Center for Leadership Excellence on Purdue's campus where I assist the Director, Dr. Sang Eun Woo, with strategic communications across the website, newsletters, and social media, and contribute to project planning and implementation.
