This bingo chart is a Word document that is easily edited/revised for your context.

This activity is a classic icebreaker that is easily revised with a specific group in mind. With simple items, it can be used to help a group of strangers get to know something about each other in an active way. Adding a few more complex or layered items can create intentional, mild dissonance that could help the group reflect on culture and their assumptions about it.

What makes this activity work for me:

I work at a university and know characteristics about our student population that ensures that at least one person in each group of ~20 will be able to identify with a square. 

For example: "Has a double major."  "Is from California."  "Loves winter in Hamilton."

I also include items that are unique to our university that would probably not be known/understood to an outsider (high context culture).

For example: "Has never been to Slices." "Cathy knows their name." "Has performed at DanceFest."

Our population includes domestic and international students, so I enjoy using items to help them introduce themselves in a positive way and/or ask questions about US culture.

For example: "Is bilingual." "Doesn't drink coffee." "Can drive stick." "Has experienced high tea."
