This activity asks participants to touch each other, and touching may trigger negative reactions and raise questions of what the touch means, including when the facilitator models it. One workaround is for facilitators to model and to call for verbal interactions only.
Instructions and guidance for this activity are explained in Theatre of the Oppressed: A Manual for Educators (pp. 44-45), located in Links. It can be used in conjunction with Complete the Picture and Pair Sculpt and Group Sculpt.
The facilitator may want to use a Thiagi debrief, or create their own debriefing questions that address the cultural aspects of nonverbal communication and interpretation.
