As a result of this activity, participants will be able to: 1. "Identify the range of communication style preferences in the group. 2. Identify and explore the strengths and weaknesses of their own preferred style in the workplace. 3. Identify and explore the strengths and weaknesses of other styles in the workplace. 4. Infer the value of having, and using, all three styles. 5. Evaluate and interpret how much stronger a team can be if people are allowed to use a preferred style of communicating rather than adapting a team norm in order to be acknowledged and rewarded" (Stringer & Cassiday, 2009, p. 23).
