This is a formative assessment that can be used to create a more inclusive learning environment and enhance a sense of belongingness for courses and workshops. It is important that the instructor or facilitator explore their own feelings of defensiveness and work to let these go if any arise when reading the responses. The timing of the learning experience — noted as "weekend" in the questionnaire — would need to be adapted to fit the context.
