Created by Jorge Martinez, College of Engineering, Purdue University, based on "The Wallet Project," developed by the Institute of Design at Stanford University (also referred as “d.school”).

The activity includes a facilitator’s guide and a student handout, which are provided in links (original Wallet Project) and downloads (adapted version).  Participants will also need a pencil or pen to write and sketch.  Common construction materials for crafts, such as those listed in the optional materials, are recommended.  However, the facilitator may decide to not have participants build a prototype.  In many cases, hand-drawn sketches and verbal explanation might be enough to describe a solution.
