This collection includes slides, readings, and activities from an 8-week opportunity for faculty and instructors from the School of Languages and Cultures to explore the field of intercultural learning in relation to the field of language teaching and learning.
Learning outcomes for participants:
- Recognize several theoretical frameworks for understanding intercultural learning and identify general issues of inquiry in this area.
- Articulate connections between language acquisition and intercultural learning.
- Align teaching tools, assessment methods, and classroom strategies with particular frameworks of intercultural learning.
- Integrate at least one new intercultural learning outcome and its assessment into a course through backward design.
