One's IES results come with an individualized action plan feature. One does NOT need to meet with an IES facilitator to learn one's results and/or to get the action plan.

Some experienced intercultural trainers recommend using this instrument as a training tool in tandem with the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) as part of the Individualized Development Plan. They clearly measure different things, and the IES can help the learner focus on individual foundational components of "intercultural competence."
