The Tag Game was developed from a workshop run by Garry Shirts. It is available in Simile II: Catalogue S9.

The game that inspired The Tag Game was developed by Norine Dressor, George O. Enell, and Kay Hardman.

The facilitator should prepare at least two sets of tags for each participant (more if planning to run more rounds of the game). The first set should be colored shapes and the second set should be unique tags, in a variety of shapes and sizes that are repeated two or three times. For example, a diamond-shaped tag should be created in three different sizes with a different pattern on each tag.

The tags also require pins or an adhesive.
