The original activity, Meteorite, was a great activity so long as you avoid using it with groups that are particularly STEM oriented. I used it with a group of Mechanical Engineers who immediately tore apart the physics of being able to clearly see the shape of a falling meteorite, the ability of said meteorite to even maintain such shapes, etc. They were so hung up on the inconsistencies of an object that defied the laws of physics that it greatly impeded any attempt to focus on the intercultural aspects of multiple perspectives and openness. This, of course, led to a complete revision of the assignment to one that is much more STEM-friendly.

This activity is really great for getting groups to see that the more perspectives that can be included the greater the holistic picture can be. It also triggers some creativity, teamwork skills, and curiosity.
