The pandemic of 2020 has reminded us that many things that have to do with "self-care" --taking long walks in the woods; self-isolation; being allowed to work from home--are the product of privilege. It should be easy to find news items that connect to this simple lesson, or to ask students to activate their own agency and do so. A student or medical self-care inventory is a nice formative assessment to help the students undertake this task.
