This activity pushes the limits of the learning zone for some students and, for others, puts them into the panic zone. For these students, more support is needed prior to beginning the activity. You might ask them to take a buddy along as emotional support while working on giving compliments. Additionally, students need to be encouraged to vary their test subjects and compliment locals from different demographics.
