    For additional thoughts on journaling across cultures (meaning many creative & different ways to do so), see the Whole World Guide to Culture Learning, by Hess (1994).  Some university libraries own copies of this work, or it can be ordered online. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be an e-book version. frown
