    I helped curate this activity and, after further reading, suggest two additions to it. First, it would be helpful for participants to discuss the audience for an inclusion philosophy or statement. This is strongly implied but not explicit in the questions. Additionally, participants might be encouraged to consider the benefits/disadvantages of stating where an institution or unit has not been inclusive in the past. An additional reading in which these ideas are raised is Ned Khatrichettri's article, "How Do We Write Better Diversity Statements?"
