The GCAA® objectively measures and reports scores for each of the eight dimensions in the Global Competence Model™ through a variety of question styles, as well as overall scores for Internal Readiness (self-awareness and attitudes) and External Readiness (cultural knowledge and interpersonal skills). The Internal Readiness category consists of self-perspective (Self-Awareness) and attitudes (Risk Taking, Open Mindedness, and Attentiveness to Diversity.  The External Readiness category consists of knowledge of countries around the world—both visible aspects of culture (Global Awareness) and hidden aspects of culture (Historical Perspective)—as well as adaptable and inclusive cross-cultural interpersonal skills with individuals (Intercultural Capability) and diverse groups or teams (Collaboration Across Cultures).

Participants’ personal scores are accompanied by interpretation as well as peer comparisons, prioritized developmental opportunities for personal improvement, and self-reflection sections where participants can engage with the results to plan their own personal development journey.  Complimentary suggestions for developing participants' global competence are provided. Precise measurement of individuals can be aggregated for fact-based decision making and determining the most advantageous developmental interventions across groups from small to very large.

The Global Competence Aptitude Assessment (GCAA)® is the product of five (5) years of worldwide consensus global competence research, as summarized in the Global Competence Model™, as well as five (5) more years of development.

The GCAA® metrics are used for fact-based decision making, personal development, readiness selection, and strategic planning.
